The Alpine Visitor Information Centre is situated in Bright; the heart of North East Victoria, just three and a half hours drive from Melbourne travelling along the Hume Highway. Located within close proximity to Alpine National Park and Mount Buffalo National Park makes Bright and Surrounds a great place to base yourself and experience a life lived outside.

The surrounding townships include Porepunkah, Harrietville, Wandiligong, Myrtleford, Mount Beauty and Mount Hotham. They provide an extraordinary array of experiences for any visitor ranging from serene activities such as walking, wining and dining or cycling the rail trail, through to more extreme activities including mountain biking, caving, abseiling, hang gliding and ski touring. The Alpine Visitor Information Centre is a welcoming and inspiring place highly regarded by visitors. It is an accredited centre, open seven days a week (excluding Christmas day and Good Friday). The friendly staff and volunteers will be more than happy to help you with all of your enquiries and assist with planning your holiday to make the most of your visit to Bright and Surrounds.
