In 2015 they included the 3.8km course from Santa Casa Queenscliff to diversify and offer a triathlon swim distance.

In 2020 they introduced two 0.6km Groyne2Groyne events to provide a greater offering for recreational swimmers. One of which is a "legends" handicap* race, which Sam Sheppard became the first legend to race the 10-15 year old participants*.

This open water swim has a unique stretched layout following the curve of Lonsdale Bay inside the heads of Port Phillip Bay.

Over 1000 competitors take part in this major event every year including some of the big names in open water swimming.

Away from the water, there will be a local market showcasing the best of the Bellarine and our community partners as well as live music.

Come and experience the fun of the Rip View Swim Classic.
