Bowen Offshore Superboats July, upwards of 15 boats compete and reach speeds in excess of 200 kilometres per hour. The teams bring with them a cast of hundreds - from pit crews to family, friends and loyal supporters- all with a need for speed and all keen to soak up the best the region has to offer.
Whitsunday Reef Festival August, the vibrant coastal town of Airlie Beach will come alive in August, as the Whitsunday Reef Festival hits town. The annual favourite festival, is a delicious combination of family fun, community events, all-night celebrations, food, fireworks and one of the biggest street parties in the north.
Airlie Beach Race Week August is now affectionately known as the festival of sailing in the Whitsundays. The 7-day long sailing regatta is a colourful event which attracts some 5000 people to the host club Whitsunday Sailing Club annually. After sailing, the Whitsunday Sailing Club hosts enjoyable social events each evening with live music, prizes and giveaways and great food and drinks.

Airlie Beach Music Festival November
The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is the only waterfront music festival in tropical Australia offering three main concerts, 74 bands and a party atmosphere for one long weekend in November. Tailored to an over 30’s audience who want to soak up the setting and escape for a relaxing weekend of fabulous live music, the festival runs from Friday 8th November to Sunday 10th November. Featuring internationally and nationally recognised musicians, this intimate festival ensures you get up close and personal to the musicians in many of the quaint bars and beachside venues around Airlie Beach and at the main stage on the edge of the Coral Sea at the Whitsunday Sailing Club.
