The Park features several amenities blocks, laundry, camp kitchens and plenty of riverside space to walk and enjoy the peace.

The Tamworth CBD is a 1km walk or cycle from the park, serviced by a path. Tamworth has a wide range of quality sporting facilities including golf courses, bowling clubs, hockey & softball fields.

For those who enjoy the outdoors there is the Tamworth Regional Botanic Gardens & Oxley Scenic Lookout which boasts a superb vantage point to view Tamworth and the Peel River Valley - the Kamilaroi Walking Trail also begins at the lookout. Endeavour Drive and Oxley Park are sanctuaries for Kangaroos and wildlife which is also a must see.
