Lost Trades Fair
Exhibitions and Shows
Lost arts, rare trades and heritage crafts. Experience three days of inspirational skills, stories and talent on show.
Over 1,000 combined years of experience, all in one place. Meet over 150 makers, who will share and demonstrate their skills and trades; blacksmiths, stonemasons, coopers, silversmiths, makers of tools, machinery, rocking horses and musical instruments. Leather workers, chairmakers, whip plaiters, ceramicists, tailors, weavers, carvers, glass artists and textile trades.
See over 15 artisans, watch demonstrations of how things are made, sit down to watch staged artisan presentations over three days; giving you an insight into design, teaching, training and what it takes to be a world class maker.
The Lost Trades Fair aims to inspire, to educate and to show why you should aim to have things made by a real person rather than a machine, to think about sustainability and the longevity of what you buy and use, to inspire, share skills and demonstrate what people can do with practice, passion and knowledge.
The fair attracts artisans from across Australia and overseas and is exclusive to Victoria.
Supported by the Victorian State Government, the City of Greater Bendigo and Heritage Council Victoria.
