Art, Antiques, Festivals: What’s Happening, What to Plan For

Castlemaine and Central Victoria are beautiful to visit no matter what the season is. Late autumn, winter and early spring offer cool days that are perfect for exploring and sightseeing and taking in one of the many festivals, markets, events and exhibitions that seem to be always happening. Of course, a highlight during the chilly months is returning to BIG4 Castlemaine after a busy day and enjoying our campfire - toasted marshmallows anyone?

It's also never too soon to start planning for the warmer months. The fabulous Castlemaine & District Festival of Gardens return in late October this year and is well worth a few days’ stay. And the wildly popular Town Folk Festival is confirmed for November 21 – a definite diary date for all music lovers. We'll be keeping you posted.
