All aboard for one of the most charming days out in Central Victoria. Take in the beauty of the local landscapes as the heritage steam train travels from Castlemaine to the historic township of Maldon (and returns, after a leisurely stop). Old school romance, big views, and plenty of “wow” moments for kids and grown-ups alike. We’ll help with the booking and you’re receive your discount!

Woop Woop Sculpture Gardens + Mini Golf (Harcourt)

Quirky, clever and totally unforgettable, Woop Woop is a five-acre outdoor wonderland packed with playful Aussie sculptures, bushland paths, and a fun 9-hole mini golf course. It’s a perfect “get out and explore” adventure for families, couples and groups of friends.

Location: Blackjack Road, Harcourt, approximately 10 minutes from Castlemaine.
Hours: Open Saturday and Sunday.  

Jirrahlinga Dingo Conservation & Wildlife Sanctuary (this one is for ALL guests!)

One free child voucher per family available from BIG4 Castlemaine Reception.

A memorable wildlife experience in the Chewton bushlands just outside Castlemaine. Jirrahlinga is a not-for-profit sanctuary focused on conservation, education and animal care — with the chance to see a wide range of native animals including dingoes, koalas, wombats, birds and reptiles. Join ranger-led encounters and learn more about the animals and the sanctuary’s important work.

Open: Thursday to Tuesday. Also closed on Total Fire Ban Days.
