Bendigo Visitor Centre
Visitor Information Centres
Start your Bendigo experience by visiting one of the grandest Visitor Centre's in Australia.
The Bendigo Visitor Centre is your one-stop shop for everything you need - from accommodation and shopping to dining, attractions, tours, maps, and guidebooks.
Housed in the historic former Post Office, this iconic building is a stunning example of Victorian-era Renaissance Revival architecture. It stands as a proud reminder of Bendigo's golden past, when the city was the richest in the world during the 1850s gold rush. Today, the building is also home to two unique cultural spaces: the Living Arts Space and Djaa Djuwima; a dedicated and permanent First Nations Gallery.
The Living Arts Space showcases the creativity of local artists from Bendigo and the Central Victorian region. With rotating exhibitions, workshops, and artist talks throughout the year, every visit offers something new.
Djaa Djuwima is a dedicated and permanent First Nations Gallery on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. An important cultural step in reconciliation, to better understand, recognise and respect the living culture and creativity of the Traditional Custodians of the land. Djaa Djuwima means to 'show, share Country' in Dja Dja Wurrung language.
The Bendigo Visitor Centre is open seven days a week, staffed by a passionate team of skilled staff and volunteers ready to help you make the most of your visit.
