Rainforest To Bush Cultural Experiences
Half Day
Rainforest To Bush Cultural Experiences is a private family-owned tour company based on the Atherton Tablelands in North Queensland offering immersive experiences of their rainforest and bush culture.
Their rainforest heritage comes from the Yidinji Nation, and their bush heritage comes from the Mbabaram Nation.
On their tours, they bring together these two neighbouring cultures to present a unique view of an Aboriginal family group that was raised in between two very different landscapes.
Rainforest To Bush Cultural Experiences offers multiple experiences to suit individual travellers, visiting tour operators, and school groups.
Their product range includes a half-day bus tour, which includes site visits to both rainforest and bush locations, a 1 hour rainforest experience and a 3 hour bush experience with the option of camping afterwards.
They offer tailored packages for overnight group tours which can include an Elders talk by the fire, a PowerPoint presentation under the stars, and even a cultural cooking experience, which is all located at their campground and culture park at Watsonville.
These tours and experiences all include hands-on activities such as spear-throwing, didgeridoo playing, and an Aboriginal dot art workshop as well as the provision of either morning tea, or lunch.
Group bookings are generally private and can be tailored to suit the itinerary and interests of each group.
