The Historic Leyburn Sprints is an annual motorsports event featuring historic, classic and modern-day performance cars run on the closed streets of Leyburn on the Queensland Southern Downs. The Sprints celebrates Leyburn's hosting of the 1949 Australian Grand Prix on a nearby ex-wartime airstrip. 2026 celebrated the 30th anniversary of the community-run Sprints, which has been twice awarded Queensland Motorsport Event of the Year and now is one of Australia's premier historic motorsports festivals and Queensland's biggest annual motorsport event after Supercars.
