Trial Bay - One of the only Western facing beaches in NSW, watch the sunset over the ocean. Trial Bay also has naturally calm waters - great for the kids and a fantastic boat ramp for the fishing enthusiasts. Only 12 minute walk or 2 minute drive from our resort.
Trial Bay Gaol - Built by hand from stone, sourced from the surrounds and completed in 1886 the Gaol is steeped in history. Take the family and soak up some Australian history.
Smokey Cape Lighthouse - A beautiful lighthouse with so much to explore. Take in the 360 views from smokey cape beach all the way around to lighthouse beach. Also a great location for whale watching during the season and dolphin spotting year round. Tours available weekly and it can be found only a 10 minute drive from the resort.
National Park Walking Tracks - The Monument Hill Climb boasts history, wildlife, incredible views and a challenge. The Monument is a replica of the original which was destroyed during WWII, it marks the burial site of 4 unknown soldiers. The mountain top views are truly breathtaking and an amazing spot during whale season. Take a water bottle, binoculars and some good shoes for this uphill climb. Only 2km from the resort.
Fishing and Diving - South West Rocks is one of the top 10 diving spots in Australia. Get onto the guys at Fish Rock Dive Centre for a truly awesome experience. Or if you would like to cast a line there are so many great locations all around South West Rocks for fishing. Beach fishing at Smokey Beach, jetty fishing at Back Creek - even fish straight into the Macleay.
