Miles Island is a small sandy island in Wallis Lake, the sparkling jewel in the crown that consists of the Great Lakes region in the Barrington Coast.
It's a popular spot for island hopping by visitors and locals alike. The island is only accessible by boat or paddling across the Breckenridge Channel opposite Forster.
Miles Island is also used as a feeding and shelter area for threatened shorebird species including the Pied Oyster Catcher and Little Tern.
